Dear Mariska: I should have made the connection! I'm still registered on "ES", but I haven't visited there for a while. They didn't like my views on "Hounddog"! Likely, though, they are at least partially right about why the film was rescheduled. However, it's also true that "Hounddog" has been an unmitigated disaster for everyone who's touched it. The further they can move its release into the election season, the better.

Dear Mariska: I see you got the word on "Hounddog's" latest reschedule a day before I did! You mentioned that the reason given was "The Dark Knight's" overrun. Where did you get that information from? Empire Film Group has been very tight-lipped on the movie recently.
