Dear Mariska: I think you'll be happy to know that my contacts in North Carolina tell me that "The Secret Life of Bees", which she's now filming there, is apparently a decent film and that she's not being exploited. In fact, most of the film crew were present during "Hounddog", so they're keeping an eye on things! They DO say, however, that she and Alicia Keys are being overworked. That's all too common for child actors these days. She'll be filming there through the month. Best wishes.
